STEPPING MOTOR

PURPOSE:To enhance the mechanical strength of a stator by forming grooves in a direction inclined with respect to the direction of an exciting magnetic flux on both front and back surfaces of the stator, thereby operating uniform magnetic fluxes at a rotor. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic core 13 is mounted on a stator 11 of a magnetic material, and a coil 12 is mounted on the core. The shaft 15a of a rotor 14 having two poles is rotatably supported by a bearing. A circular hole 18 is formed at the stator 11, the rotor 14 is disposed in the hole, and a small-width part 19 is formed at the periphery. In this case, the first groove 20a of square- section is formed on a line passing the center of the hole 18 along the direction inclined with respect to the direction of an exciting magnetic flux of the coil 12 one side of the stator 11 of the periphery of the hole 18. The similar second groove 20b is also formed on the other side of the stator 11. The rotor 14 is stationarily positioned by the groove 20 to stabilize the rotating characteristic of the rotor 14.
