REAR SEAT DEVICE FOR AUTOMOBILE

PURPOSE:To simplify a seat-back locking device in structure, by making a stay of a headrest possible to be attached or detached to or from a body support part, while engaging an engaged part and a hook part together with a key cylinder, and making an up-motion of the headrest unable. CONSTITUTION:At the time of clamping a seat back 3 of a rear seat, this seat back 3 is pressed to the side of a car body 5 in the rear, while a support part 9 of the car body 5 is fitted in a concave part 14 on the backside, and a tip end of a stay 15 of a headrest 4 is engaged with a support hole 9a of a body support part 9 whereby the seat back 3 is locked to the car body 5. And, for antitheft measures, etc., when a tilt motion of the seat back 3 is made unable to be done, a key 22 is inserted into a key cylinder 21, turning and operating it, and the tip end is engaged with an engaged part 23 at the side of the seat back 3. With this constitution, even if a lock lever 20 is operated, the up-motion of the headrest 4 is checked by engagement between a hook part 21a and the engaged part 23, thus engagement between the stay 15 and the support part 9 is made unreleasible.
