DIGITAL DATA CONVERTING SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To transmit or record and reproduce efficiently picture data by deleting data in a no-signal period when data is digitized and is transmitted or recorded and reproduced. CONSTITUTION:X rays transmitted through a human body are amplified by an image intensifier 3 and are converted to an electric signal by a TV camera 4. This signal is converted to a digital signal by an A/D converter 5 and is inputted to a digital memory 6. The digital memory 6 outputs only an effective picture part to a digital recorder 7, and it is recorded on a recording medium such as a magnetic tape, a magnetic disc, or an optical disc. The output of the digital recorder 7 is inputted to a digital memory 8 for reproducing and is restored to the analog signal by a D/A converter 9 and is outputted to a TV monitor 10. When the picture whose one part is a no-signal part like a medical picture is recorded digitally, only the effective picture signal is transmitted or recorded to reduce the data rate.
