DISPLAYING ATTITUDE OF EXCAVATOR FOR PROPULSION WORK

PURPOSE:To facilitate a monitoring operation for an excavator by rationally displaying the position and attitude of the displaced excavator. CONSTITUTION:On X-Y orthogonal coordinates on the screen of a cathode ray tube 12, the position of a displaced excavator relative to a target excavation axis is displayed as a point A having a vertical displacement DELTAy relative to the ground as a Y coordinate and a lateral displacement DELTAx relative to the ground as an X coordinate. Further, making the X-Y orthogonal coordinates serve a double purpose, said coordinates having an origin O corresponding to the target excavation axis, the attitude of the displaced excavator is displayed as a coordinate figure having the value of one of angle components indicative of the attitude as a Y coordinate and values of the other three angle components as X coordinates on the screen of the same cathode ray tube 12.
