RUST REMOVING DEVICE FOR HOLD OF SHIP

PURPOSE:To provide sure and quick derusting for a high location without scaffolding by manipulating the position of a shotblasting nozzle from the floor of a ship hold. CONSTITUTION:This ship hold derusting device is composed of a prop 1 installed upright on the hold floor rotatably round the axis, an elevating truck 2 fixed to this prop 1 with possibility of elevating and sinking, an expansion arm B pivoted on this elevating truck 2 with possibility of tilting to face up and down, and a shotblasting nozzle for derusting 3 installed at the tip of this expansion arm B. The expansion arm B is coupled with a link 23 through a pin to be bent, shortened and elongated by actuators 25-27. Rust removal is accomplished by injecting a blasting material 30 out of the abovementioned nozzle 3 toward rusting areas of interior walls of the ship hold through the expanding/contracting and facing up/down action of the expansion arm B, the elevating/sinking action of the elevating truck 2 by a winch 21 and the revolving action of the prop 1 by a winch 16.
