CONTINUOUS COLD ROLLING INSTALLATION

PURPOSE:To improve product quality, etc. by providing a light draft mill between the final stand and coiler and applying a light draft to a steel plate. CONSTITUTION:The light draft mill 5 is disposed between the final stand 3 and coiler 4 of a tandem type cold rolling mill. A rolling mill oil header 6 is provided on the inlet side of the stand 3 and a draining device is disposed on the outlet side. The rolling material 1 emitted from the final stand 3 of the tandem rolling mill is subjected to about 2.5% light draft in the mill 5 prior to coiling by the coiler 4. The adhesiveness between rolls 2 and the rolling material 1 is increased with the plastic deformation of the surface of the material 1 and the complete draining is made possible by the above-mentioned method. The rolling mill oil sticking to the surface of the material 1 has the temp. above the b.p. and is therefore annihilated. The rust and oil stain on the surface of the material 1 are therefore prevented and the quality thereof is improved. The reduction of the operating stage, etc. is made possible.
