SYSTEM FOR PROCESSING CHARACTER OR THE LIKE

PURPOSE:To improve the working efficiency of character processing, by automatically registering or erasing a pattern in or from a mass storage medium in accordance with conditions where the medium storing character pattern information is loaded onto a readout section or the information is removed from the readout section. CONSTITUTION:Patterns of characters of 800X800 dots stored in recording media 4, such as magnetic tapes 41 and 42, floppy disks 43 and 44, etc., are loaded onto respective drivers 51-54 of a readout section 5 as occasion demands and stored in a mass storage medium 9 through a registration controlling section 7 as calligraphic style-classified basic character patterns, but loading and removal of the storage medium 9 is detected by means of a detecting section 6 and, in accordance with the detection, the registration controlling section 7 is controlled and registration and erasion of patterns on and from the mass storage medium 9 are performed. The patterns are converted into those of dot sizes required by each input and output apparatus 1, 2, and 3 through converting sections 10, 11, and 12 and registered on their character generators 13, 14, and 15.
