Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To prevent the failure of the operation of heat pipes by a method in which a container is divided into many layers, water is confined into each layer, and the diameter of the container is made smaller. CONSTITUTION:The outer container 1 of heat pipe consists of a heat receiving section 6 and a condensing section 5. Inner containers 2 of several heat pipe units are set in the outer container 1. Water as heat medium 3 for heat pipes is vacuum-injected into the container 2. The heat received by the heat receiving section 6 is transmitted to water 3 in the container 2 and the water is vaporized toward the condensing section 5 of the container 2. The actions are conducted to the next sections of the container 2 in order, and the heat is conducted to the condensing section 5. The lengths of the bottom 7 and the side face 7 of the container 2 are controlled to 1:1 for preventing the closing of the internal spaces of the container 2 by condensed water during the operation of the heat pipe. The amount of water in the heat pipe container 2 can thus be sufficiently reduced. Also, even during the operation of the heat pipe, the internal spaces of the container 2 are not closed by water, and therefore, even small-diameter heat pipes can be operated.
