MAGNETIC RECORDING AND REPRODUCING SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To match clip synchronizing signal by using an automatic tracking device of a VTR to lock in an automatic tracking head to a track shifted by one field thereby retarding a video signal without delay by one field. CONSTITUTION:A reproduced RF signal 5 from a video signal is subjected to envelope detection by an RF detection circuit 6, the track deviation is detected by a tracking error detection circuit 8 and the result is fed back to a bimorph drive output 9. When a control circuit 12 generates a track change pulse 13, an offset by one track is fed to the bimorph drive output 9 and a field retarded by one field is reproduced by a reproduction head, track change information 14 is outputted at the same time and the servo circuit is controlled so as to progress a CTL by one field with respect to the external reference. Only the video signal is coincident with the reference, but an analog audio signal the CTL, a time code and a PCM audio signal are progressed by one field.
