HORIZONTAL AND INCLINATION ANGLE DETECTING DEVICE USING MAGNETIC FLUID

PURPOSE:To detect the absolute horizon by using the liquid characteristic of the magnetic fluid. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic fluid 2 is inserted in a spherical thin container 1. When an alternating current electric power source is connected between terminals 601 and 602 and an exciting coil 6 is excited by the alternating current, a magnetic speed to interlink in the magnetic path composed of the magnetic fluid 2 and a ferromagnetic substance core 5 occurs, and the voltage is generated between terminals 711 and 712, 721 and 722 and 731 and 732 of the detecting coils. When the detecting device main body is horizontal, the liquid surface of the magnetic fluid goes to be horizontal, the magnetic path for respective detecting coils goes to be equal, and consequently, the voltage generated at three detecting coils are all equal. In other words, when the voltage of three detecting coils goes to be equal, the detecting result that the detecting device main body is horizontal can be obtained.
