Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To enable highly accurate detection of a corroded part of a pipeline regardless of a deformation out of roundness of the pipeline body and the existence of vibration with the running of a pig, by using a spot focusing type probe as such. CONSTITUTION:Empirically, for example, in a pipeline of a pipe body 1 with the nominal diameter of 1,200A, the flatness (f) of the pipe body 1 is mostly below + or -30mm while the eccentricity (d) of a pig 3 is normally below + or -10mm. When the oblatness f=30mm, the incident angle theta is about 1 deg. at the point Q when the change in the incident angle due to the eccentricity of the pig 3 is large. Hence, the incident angle is about 1 deg. at a point even if the point P and the point Q coincide. Thus, the use of a spot focusing type probe enables highly accurate detection of a corroded part of a pipline of the pipe body of which is deformed by oblatness =+ or -30mm under the vibration in which the pig 3 is deformed by oblatness d=+ or -10mm.
