Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To improve the yield of pig iron of superior quality by mixing a proper amount of bulk pig iron produced during the casting of molten pig iron with molten pig iron at a proper temp. and agitating them so as to remelt the bulk pig iron without increasing the production of pig iron having a defective surface shape. CONSTITUTION:Bulk pig iron 2 is put in a molten pig iron receiving vessel 1 contg. no molten pig iron by =1,470 deg.C is poured into the vessel 1 through an inclined pouring spout 3, and agitation is carried out with a KR agitation impeller 5 to melt the bulk pig iron 2. The resulting molten pig iron is cast with a molten pig iron casting machine 6. Thus, the bulk pig iron 2 is remelted without increasing the production of pig iron having a defective surface shape.
