PURPOSE:To realize reduction in weight and simplification of assembly and disassembly work of a holder for a car window glass by making said holder with two members of a resinous holder main body and a metal bracket. CONSTITUTION:In composing a holder, a holder main body 7 is inserted between right and left rising pieces 4, 4' formed on a metal bracket 1 from above said pieces until the underside face of said main body 7 comes in contact with horizontally bent parts 3, 3' of the bracket 1 while expanding an interval between said rising pieces 4 and 4' to some extent against strength of flexible stability. Then, hook parts 5, 5' of the bracket 1 are engaged with stopper grooves 10, 10 of the holder main body 7, which is engaged with the bracket 1 so as not to be extracted upward from the bracket 1. At this time, since flanges 9 are engaged with both side edges of the rising pieces 4, 4', the holder main body 7 and the bracket 1 are united in one body.
