Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To contrive to shorten a catalyst supporting process and to enhance the efficiency thereof, by arranging a doughnut shaped bubbling pipe, which has a diameter nearly equal to or smaller than that of a monolithic catalyst and is provided with a large number of small apertures, in a catalytic component supporting solution. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous aluminum nitrate solution and ion exchanged water is added to an alumina sol under stirring to prepare a suspension and a gamma-alumina powder is further added to said suspension to prepare a slurry. A columnar monolithic carrier 1 is immersed in said slurry and, after drawn up to remove the excessive slurry, baked at 700 deg.C for 2hr. Next, the monolithic carrier 1 having an activated alumina layer formed thereto is immersed in a catalytic component supporting tank 2 to be fixed directly above a bubbling pipe 5 while compressed air is supplied to said bubbling pipe 5 to allow air bubbles 6 to pass. Subsequently, the treated one is drawn up to remove excessive moisture to obtain a monolithic catalyst. |
