DIGITAL AUDIO DISK PLAYER

PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption by providing a timer part for measuring the duration of a pause time, and a power source control part for cutting off a supply of electric power, when the measured time of the timer part has exceeded an optional set time. CONSTITUTION:By inputting a pause key of a key switch part, a control part 15 stores a minute/second frame signal for showing a musical performance position of that time, and works on a driving part so that a signal detecting part holds its position. At the same time, a timer part 19 starts measurement of the duration of a pause state, and when two minutes or more have elapsed, the power supply to a driving part 11, a signal detecting part 12 and a signal output part 13 is stopped by working on a power source part. In this state, even if a play key 12 is depressed, a musical performance can be started again from a position where the musical performance has been stopped, since the minute/second frame is stored. In this way, power consumption in the pause state can be reduced.
