TERMINAL SYSTEM FOR ACCEPTANCE OF SLIP

PURPOSE:To reduce the labor of an operator with a terminal system for acceptance of slips by providing a slave device at the customer side for input and recognition of slips and performing confirmation and correction of the slips by a master device set at the operator side for transmission of the prescribed data to host stations. CONSTITUTION:A customer puts a slip 1 into an image reading mechanism 2 of a slave device and the image data read by the mechanism 2 is supplied to a control mechanism 8. The mechanism 8 recognizes the characters of the prescribed items on the slip 1 and converts them into the code information to display the result or recognition on a display mechanism 4. The slip 1 confirmed by the customer and printed by a print mechanism 7 is stored in a slip stacker 3. At the same time, both the image data and the code data are sent to a master device and then queue-registered on a file mechanism 6 by a control mechanism 14. the mechanism 14 extracts the registered recognition data and displays it to a display mechanism 10 to undergo the confirmation and correction through a teller. Then the prescribed data are sent to upper stations. thus the labor of the teller is reduced.
