METHOD AND DEVICE FOR LAYING OVERLAY STONE

PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of a laying work for overlay stones, by a method wherein the overlay stones are contained in a tight condition to hold them by means of a moving frame, which is lowered on the sea bottom to move a frame part, and the overlay stones are released from a tight condition to lift the frame. CONSTITUTION:Moving frame bodies 6-9 are locked in a holding position H, and a wire 12 is stretched below a space 11 in a condition in that given tension is provided with the aid of a winding mechanism 14. Overlay stones S are charged in a space 11, and the whole overlay stones S are held in a tight state by means of the moving frame bodies 6-9. The whole frame, containing the overlay stones S therein, is carried in a given position on the sea. The whole frame is lowered to an upper surface (m) of a sea bottom mound M as a wire 20 is lifted down with the aid of a crane 64, the whole frame is lifted up, and the overlay stones S are left on the upper surface m. This enables improvement of working efficiency, and permits facilitation of a work even in deep water.
