Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To reduce clamping force and stress at a liner neck lower part, by making an outer diameter of a gas pressure receiving surface of a liner smaller than that of a liner body, while forming an almost half of the inner circumference of a head gasket with a flexible seal. CONSTITUTION:An outer diameter D8 of a gas pressure receiving surface 8 at an upper end of a liner body 2a is made smaller enough than an outer diameter D2 of the liner body 2a whereby gas pressure load A3 on the pressure receiving surface 8 is sharply decreased as compared with the conventional case. And, a waveform, heat resisting metal-make flexible seal 17 is connectedly installed in an inner circumferential part of a solid head gasket 12 as one body. With this constitution, a head gasket 12 is made contact with the outer circumferential side of an upper surface of a flange part, making it support head bolt clamping force B3, whereby a point of application of the clamping force B3 is made to come nearer to the outer circumferential side of the flange part 4. Therefore, each bending moment due to the clamping force B3 and gas pressure A3 is reducible so that stress acting on an underhead notch part 6 is thus reducible. |
