FIXING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To remove easily a paper at the time of paper clogging, maintenance, etc., by constituting a lower roller so as to separate from an upper roller by its self weight. CONSTITUTION:An upper unit 1 is turnably fitted to a lower unit 2 through a hinge 3. After the upper and lower units 1 and 2 are closed, in order to maintain both units in the copying action capable state, a hook 4 and a catcher 5 fitting to the hook 4 are installed on respective unit ends of the upper and lower units 1 and 2, respectively, at the sides opposite to the hinge 4. A fixing device 13 is disposed at the paper discharging side of the upper unit 1, that is, it is installed on the upper unit 1 so that it can be set backward from the copying part 11 of the lower unit 2 when the upper and lower units 1 and 2 are closed.
