CHARGEABLE BROADCASTING SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To reduce the constraint to a delivery time in a broadcasting station side by storing the information for releasing a scramble operation in plural storage areas, and reading out the information related to a descramble from one of said storage areas in accordance with a control flag from the broadcasting station side. CONSTITUTION:A storage area for storing a distributing code by a RAM220 in a subscriber unit 10 is divided into plural areas, and the distributing code which is being used at present, and a changed distributing code are stored in one area and the other area, respectively. In the subscriber unit 10 side, an auxiliary power source for energizing the RAM is conducted continuously, and write of the distributing code to the RAM220 is executed continuously whenever its code is delivered. When a subscriber switches a main power source to an energized state from a cutoff state, the distributing code to be referred to is read out of one of the first area 221 and the second area 222, in accordance with a reference page flag RF of said switching time.
