Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To suppress moderately the multiplication of other microorganisms and cultivate basidiomycetes without affecting the growth of mushrooms nor toxicity to human bodies, by adding thaimine lauryl sulfate to a culture medium for cultivating the basidiomycetes. CONSTITUTION:Thiamine lauryl sulfate is preferably added to a culture medium such as potato dextrose agar to give 30-250ppm concentration. Basidiomycetes such as bacterium of the genus Bacillus or Pleurotus ostrealus are inoculated into the above-mentioned culture medium and cultivated at 10-28 deg.C for 20-120 days. The above-mentioned method is applicable widely to basidiomycetes such as Pleurotus ostrealus, Pleurotus nameko, Flammulina velutipes, Grifola frondosa, Ganoderma lucidum, mushroom or SHIITAKE mushroom, and particulary preferable for edibel mushrooms because the thiamine lauryl sulfate is nontoxic to human bodies. EFFECT:The quality of mushrooms can be improved and yield can be increased.
