COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To communicate efficiently data between terminals by transmitting a circuit exchange network bypass request to the network side together with communications destination information, extending the circuit exchange network when the network side detects the request, and executing bypass and circuit connection. CONSTITUTION:When a line concentrator 8 containing a terminal 7 receives a call packet, it searches a line concentrator 11, where the terminal is contained, according to an opposite party address in the packet. Then an adder 13 connected to the line concentrator 8 calls and dials a subscriber's number assigned to the adder 14 of the concentrator 11 with respect to the line concentrator 2 of a near circuit exchange network. Then the concentrator 2 calls the adder 14 contained in a line concentrator 5. Here, the concentrator 8 transmits the call packet from the terminal 7 through such a route as the adder 13-concentrator 3-exchanges 3 and 4-concentrator 5-adder 14-concentrator 11. Unless a terminal 12 is used, the concentrator 11 transmits the packet to the terminal 12. When a response is present, the communicable packet is returned to the terminal 7 through the adder 13, and the operation enters the communications environment between the terminals 7 and 12.
