SOLID-STATE IMAGE PICKUP DEVICE

PURPOSE:To make uniform curing possible and to improve the quality by using window glass having ultraviolet-ray cut filter characteristics. CONSTITUTION:A solid-state image pickup element 2 is bonded to a ceramic package 1 with silver paste, etc., and the electrode of the solid-state image pickup element 2 and an electrode pad printed on the ceramic package 1 are connected. Then, an ultraviolet-ray curing type bonding agent 5 is dropped onto the element 2, and an optical filter provided with a light shielding film 4 is placed on a transparent filter substrate and positioned. Under this condition, ultraviolet rays are irradiated to cure the bonding agent 5. At this time, a window glass 6 that also acts as an ultraviolet-ray cut filter is bonded to the opening of the ceramic package 1 to cut off ultraviolet rays which are not shielded by an optical filter 3. Accordingly, adverse influences given by ultraviolet rays on the light receiving section, reading section and dark current correcting section can be eliminated.
