Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To obtain a reagent which has a good shelf life and can determine quantitatively bilirubin with high sensitivity and high accuracy by making use of the stability of an alkylphenoxy benzene diazonium compd. in either of a dry or aq. soln. state and the easy handlability in a bright place. CONSTITUTION:The reagent prepd. by dissolving the compd. expressed by the formula (Y is a halogen or H, R , R are H, straight chain, branched or cyclic alkyl, R and R may be the same or different except the combination in which both R and R are H. The bonding position of Y, R , R and diazonium group may be optional, X is a stabilized anion), more preferably the compd. in which R , R are 4-20C, the sum of the C atoms of R and R is 4-30 and Y is H into a water-acetone mixed liquid is added to a bilirubin-contg. sample and the transmission density of the formed azo-bilirubin at 560nm wavelength is measured. A test specimen adsorbed with the reagent is used. The analysis of the bilirubin having high sensitivity and high accuracy is thus made possible.
