WEIGHT ADJUSTING METHOD OF MAGNETIC HEAD

PURPOSE:To decrease man-hours by shifting a weight before head adjustment toward one side by a quantity expecting weight fluctuation after heat treatment in advance depending on whether the weight is larger than an object weight or smaller. CONSTITUTION:In the head weight adjustment, an adjustment press rod 3 is pushed into the direction arrow at adjustment and a part R of a plate spring member 2 is subjected to plastic deformation by an amount. Then the weight is measured. In this case, when the measured value is not W1 in an equation (where W1 is weight fluctuation after heat processing, W0 is weight before adjustment and A, B are constants), the pushing operation as above and the measurement of the weight are repeated. In this case, it is important to make the adjusting direction equal and the place spring member 2 must not be lifted not tensed laterally. Thus, the weight fluctuation after heat treatment is expected and adjustment is performed by shifting that amount depending on the correlation with the weight adjusting quantity in advance, then the final object is obtained by one adjustment and heat treatment thereby reducing the man-hour.
