Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To obtain a non-impact type image recorder capable of recording images with high resolution at high speed by fusing a resistive powdery developer onto a recording paper. CONSTITUTION:In the image recorder, a resistive magnetized powdered ink 1 having a low melting point is used. As a magnet roll 3 is rotated in the direction of arrow D, the ink 1a on a doctor blade 4 is moved on a sleeve 2 in the direction of arrow A, is fed on a recording electrode 5b, an insulating layer 6 and a recording electrode 5a, and is returned onto the blade 4. The sleeve 2 is electrically insulated from the electrodes 5a, 5b. When a voltage is impressed on the electrode 5a or the electrode 5b so as to generate a potential difference according to an image recording signal, an electric current is passed through the powdered ink 1 on the insulating layer 6, whereby the ink 1 is heated, is melted, and is fused to the recording paper 7. The ink attracted to the magnet roll 9 is recovered onto the sleeve 2 by the doctor blade 10.
