Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To prevent contact between a shaft and a labyrinth at the time of staring and to make clearance small at the time of rated running by making a labyrinth seal portion of the shaft thick on the low pressure region side and making it thin on the high pressure region side so as to obtain a tapered shape. CONSTITUTION:An axial hole through unit 2A of a rotary shaft 2 is made thick on the low pressure region B side and thin on the high pressure region A side so as to become tapered. While, a labyrinth 5 sealing an axial through unit is fit movably in the axial direction on an axial hole of a casing 3. And a pressure receiving face 6 receiving pressure of pressurized fluid is formed on a side face opposed to the high pressure region A in the labyrinth 5, and a collar 7 is provided on a center of an outer peripheral face. And a spring 9 is provided so as to allow the labyrinth 5 to move to the high pressure region A side in starting and move to the low low pressure region B side in rated running.
