Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To enhance magnetic separation efficiency by eliminating a part receiving magnetic separation, by allowing a rotary magnetic pole and a fixed magnetic pole to each other so as to make the opposed polarities thereof different and arranging a non-magnetic diaphragm slightly below the neutral position between both magnetic poles. CONSTITUTION:An objective material (a) to be subjected to magnetic separation is charged in a chute 6 to be supplied from a supply port 6a. In this case, the position of the supply part 6a is present between a diaphragm 5 and the upper surface of a lower cylindrical magnetic pole 3 and the diaphragm 5 is set so as to be positioned at a part slightly shifted to the side of the lower magnetic pole 3 from a neutral position where both magnetic forces of the magnetic pole 3 and an upper magnetic pole 4 are well balanced in the magnetic forces due to the magnetic field generated between said poles 3, 4. As a result, the objective material (a) to be subjected to magnetic separation supplied from the supply port 6a is not positioned at the neutral position and entirely receives efficient magnetic separation. Further, the shape of the upper magnetic pole 4 is wet so that the surface opposed to the magnetic pole 3 of said pole 4 is curved into a circular form corresponding to the peripheral side shape of the magnetic pole 3 to make it possible to enlarge a selection area.
