Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To prevent abrasion from occurring, by attaching an adjusting member, capable of moving a pad metal in an axial direction for adjustment, to an end bracket of a bearing seat. CONSTITUTION:A thrust bearing unit 10 supporting a motor shaft 3 of a submergible pump is provided with a thrust metal 11 and a bearing seat 13 tiltably supported at the inner part of an end bracket 12. An adjusting member 18, for making a pad metal 14 shiftable in an axial direction, is attached to the end bracket 12. This adjusting member 18 consists of three bolts, and it is pierced through and screwed in the end bracket on the circumference of a circle corresponding to the bearing seat 13 and the pad metal 14 whereby it is made so as to be shiftable in the axial direction in design. Therefore, early wear is preventable from occurring in the thrust metal and the pad metal irrespective of any variation in thrust load.
