Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To produce a continuously cast steel ingot having excellent quality in a horizontal type continuous casting device for a molten steel by supplying the melt of a specific metal having a low melting temp. to the part of a tundish nozzle and mold and utilizing the same as a cooling medium for the molten steel and a lubricating agent between the solidified shell of the steel ingot and the mold. CONSTITUTION:The molten steel in a ladle 1 is supplied from the tundish nozzle 3 through the tundish 2 into the mold from which the molten steel is drawn out as the continuously cast steel ingot by pinch rolls 8. A refractory porous part 3' is provided to the nozzle 3 in this case and the melt of the metal such as Ph having the low melting temp. is forced through the part 3' into the nozzle 3 to form the solidified shell by cooling the molten steel in the nozzle 3 with such molten Pb as well as to act the same as the lubricating agent between the solidified shell and the mold. The molten Pb enters a vessel 12 through metal vessels 6, 7 from the mold and is supplied again to the nozzle 3 after said melt is cooled by a heat exchanger. The continuously cast steel ingot having high quality is obtd. without fine cracking in the juncture between the nozzle 3 and the mold and without surface oxidation of the ingot. |
