Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To deal with patients quickly and accurately by providing terminals in a hospital which communicate with a file of a center to issue ID cards and transmit and receive data corresponding to ID cards. CONSTITUTION:In a card authorization terminal system (CATS) for hospital management, a host computer 1 is provided as the information center in the hospital. CATS terminals 11-14 are installed which incorporate MODEMs and are controlled by microprocessors and are so constituted that they can be connected to the host computer 1 in on-line. The CATS terminal 11 is installed at the window of patient acceptance and issues a card having a magnetic stripe as the ID card. CATS terminals 11-14 are installed in respective posts in the hospital to perform register of examination, account processing, and collation in medicine reception.
