Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain the titled gum changing its color gradually by chewing, and exhibiting colored pattern resistant to peeling and falling, by coating a colored piece of soft synthetic resin with a hardly soluble coating film having different color, and dispersing the coated pieces as a pattern-forming substance in a gum base. CONSTITUTION:Colored pieces of a soft synthetic resin (preferably vinyl acetate resin having a polymerization degree of 1,000-38,000, etc.) are coated with a hardly soluble coating film (e.g. gelatin, pullulan, carrageenan, etc.) having a color different from that of the resin. The obtained pattern-forming substance is mixed into a base for bubble gum to obtain the objective gum.
