Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To improve the concentration ratio of a mutant strain requiring intermediate metabolite, by culturing a mutated bacterial strain in a penicillin- containing medium for a period longer than the cell division time of the strain in a culture system and shorter than twice of the cell division time. CONSTITUTION:The culture of a mutated bacterial strain in a minimum medium for microorganism added with penicillin is carried out for a period longer than the cell division time of the strain in said culture system and shorter than twice of the cell division time (preferably about 30min-1hr after the elaspe of the cell division time). The cells are collected and washed, and the same operation is repeated several times (e.g. 3-10 times).
