Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To improve the dimensional accuracy of the gap depth and to prevent the exfoliation and the deterioration of characteristics of a magnetic thin film in a manufacturing process, by providing a nonmagnetic pattern material having a contact with the side of a gap depth surface of a magnetic core at the part surrounded by the magnetic core formed on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:A pair of magnetic cores 2 and 3 have a C or I form and include magnetic circuits holding a gap material 5 between them within a surface. The nonmagnetic pattern materials 8 and 8a are formed on a nonmagnetic substrate 1 at the areas where both cores 2 and 3 are not set. These materials 8 and 8a have the thickness approximately equal to the cores 2 and 3 and have contacts with the ridgelines of both cores 2 and 3 respectively. Therefore the value of a gap step Gd is decided unconditionally by the boundary line between the core 2 and the material 8 and has no relation with the position of a winding hole 6 or the surface accuracy. In addition, the exfoliation and the deterioration of magnetic characteristics can be prevented in a manufacturing process since the ridge line of the hole 6 has no direct contact with both cores 2 and 3.
