ADJUSTING DEVICE FOR OPTICAL FIBER END SURFACE

PURPOSE:To make an adjustment in one direction by moving a sleeve pressure screw which crosses a sleeve at right angles and hard balls which are arranged opposite it slantingly and about on the sleeve. CONSTITUTION:When the sleeve pressure screw 7 which crosses the sleeve at right angles is turned clockwise, a metallic sleeve 2 is lowered. Metallic hard balls 8a and 8b are arranged almost facing it almost slantingly. Then, when hard ball pressure screws 9a and 9b fitted in parallel to and across the sleeve pressure screw 7 are turned clockwise to push up the sleeve 2 to right and left through the hard balls 8a and 8b. Namely, the end surface position of an optical fiber 1 is adjusted with the sleeve pressure screw 7 and hard ball pressure screws 9a and 9b which are arranged in the same direction.
