KARMAN'S VORTEX FLOW METER

PURPOSE:To stabilize detection sensitivity with a simple construction, by installing a side-play preventing means consisting of deep hole perforated along the axis of a span band and fixed pin to fit the hole in a tension applying unit of the span band. CONSTITUTION:A vibrating piece 24 is made of a metallic thin sheet consisting of vibrating board 25, a pair of span bonds 26A, 26B, frame body 17, etc., Pin holes 29, 30 are drilled in the frame body 27 on each torsional vibration rod A-A, and fit in place with setting pins 32, 33 and the frame body 27 is positioned on the bottom housing. And, the frame body 27 is slightly shortened in the direction of the torsional vibration rods A-A by a throttling unit 34 giving the specified deformation allowance to the span band 26B. On this occasion, the frame body 27 provided with the specified shrinkage is positioned with the setting 33 as a guide by the pin 30. Further, a setting pin 35 of the bottom housing is engaged in a pin hole 31 of the tension applying unit 28 for preventing side play of the span band 26B caused by shocks, etc. and thus, unstable condition of sensitivity in the minimum flow rate caused by inclined vibrating board 25 due to the side play is removed.
