INFORMATION RECORDING/REPRODUCING SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To reduce a correction-disabled error generated in a read-out information signal sharply by reading out and reproducing the same information signal recorded in plural positions of a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:The same information signal is overlappedly recorded in picture signal areas 14, 15. The 1st digital information signal obtained from the picture signal area 14 of a track 11 is stored in the 2nd memory 28 and the 2nd digital information signal obtained from the picture signal area 15 is stored in the 1st memory 23. When the reading of a track next to the track 11 is started, the 2nd and 1st digital information signals stored in the 1st and 2nd memories 23, 28 are read out successively and transferred to a CPU29. The CPU29 compares the transferred 1st and 2nd digital information signals to detect whether an error generated due to dropout can be corrected or not.
