THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION

PURPOSE:To prevent the cleavage of blend and to improve appearance and mechanical characteristics, by melt-kneading a polyolefin, other thermoplastic resin and a block copolymer in a specified ratio in the presence of a radical generating agent. CONSTITUTION:A compsn. is composed of 2-98pts.wt. crystalline olefin polymer (a) (pref. crystalline propylene polymer), 98-2pts.wt. thermoplastic resin (b) (pref. polybutylene terephthalate) other than said olefin polymer and 3-50pts.wt. [per 100pts.wt. of the combined quantity of components (a) and (b)] hydrogenated derivative (c) of a block copolymer of the formula (wherein A is a polymer block of a monovinyl-substd. arom. hydrocarbon; B is an elastomeric polymer block of a conjugated diene; n is 1-5). After or while a radical generating agent (e.g. org. peroxide) is melt-kneaded with part or the whole of at least one component of said resin components (a)-(c), the remaining components are added thereto and the mixture is melt-kneaded. Alternatively, said four components are mixed together and the mixture is melt-kneaded.
