STEAM TURBINE

PURPOSE:To make a relative short axial length of a rotor and reduce a loss in exhaust gas by a method wherein a guiding member for applying a circumferential speed component and another guiding member for removing the circumferential speed component are arranged in an exhaust chamber. CONSTITUTION:A guiding member 11 crossing an exhaust chamber 5 and a diffuse 7 is fixed to the downstream side of the vanes 2 which are arranged at the rotor in an annular form. The first guiding member 11 is made such that a shape of the vane 2 is made different and a twisting is applied to it so as to make a circumferential speed component of discharged steam. A second guiding member 12 is arranged at the downstream side of the first guiding member 11, the second guiding member 12 is made to have a desired vane shape and a twisting is applied thereto so as to remove the circumferential speed component again. With this arrangement, it is possible to make a relative short axial length of the rotor 1 and reduce a loss of exhaust gas. Therefore, it is made possible to increase the output under the same capacity.
