CASSETTE COVER OPENING/CLOSING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To make a cassette cover free from being twisted, by constituting a cassette cover opening/closing device in such a way that the forcing force of a spring member can act close to an engaging section which holds the closed position of the cassette cover. CONSTITUTION:A torsion coil spring 5 is provided in such a way that its coil section is fitted to a round boss 6 provided on the side face of a cassette cover 1, one end section is fixed by a hooking rib 8 and snap rib 9, and the other end section is circularly bent and brought into contact with a cabinet 4. Therefore, abnormal sounds produced by friction between the torsion coil spring 5 and cabinet 4 and powder coating can be prevented. Moreover, slippage of the right and left sections of the torsion coil spring 5 can be prevented because they are guided by a guide rib 4-a provided in the cabinet 4 and the spring 5 can be slid at fixed positions.
