PURPOSE:To obtain a smooth line drawing by automatically correcting the unevenness of the drawing, by grouping dots punctuating dots on a line from one terminal at every time when bit information is inverted, paying attention upon the line of coordinate (m1). CONSTITUTION:When pattern (a) stored as shown by (b) is corrected into pattern (a), the 1st group paying attention upon a line of m=2 contains the line from n=1 to n=6, dot number S is six, and bit information is white [0]; and an adjacent group contains a line of m=1 from n=1 to n=6 with white bit number (r) equal to six, and the number (t) of pieces of white bit information from n=1 to n=6 of a line of m=3 is zero, so that no correction of this group will be required. When the line of m=2 is shifted to the 4th group, (n) is 11 and the bit information is black [1]. As a result, it is regarded as one group of one bit, (r) as to the line of m=1 and (t) as to the line of m=3 become zero and one respectively, and the group is corrected, so that bit information will be inverted as to dots of m=2 and n=11. This operation is carried out from m=2 to (m) and from n=2 to (n) to correct automatically the unevenness of a line drawing.
