RESISTOR TRIMMING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To improve yield and productivity by trimming several chip resistor mounted to a substrate by a laser device. CONSTITUTION:Chip resistors 4 at a nose are pushed by a pushing member 20 by driving a cylinder 21 for pushing, and pushed between a fixed electrode 22 and a movable electrode 23. Resistors 73 for the chip resistors 4 are trimmed by a laser device 9 under the state in which the chip resistors 4 are positioned and held. The resistors 73 are trimmed to predetermined resistance values while the resistance values of the chip resistors 4 are measured through the fixed electrode 22l and the movable electrode 23. When the chip resistors 4 held by a first positioning holder 7 are trimmed by the laser device 9, trimming is decided to be defective according to a keeping within a prescribed range of detected resistance values when the defectives of trimming are generated. The chip resistors 4 are trimmed by the laser device 9 while the resistances of the chip resistors 4 are measured through a fixed electrode 33 and a movable electrode 34 under the state in which the chip resistors 4 are held by a movable electrode 17 and the fixed electrode 33.
