STIRRING APPARATUS HAVING GAS-LIQUID CONTACT FUNCTION

PURPOSE:To further enhance gas-liquid contact efficiency by sufficiently utilizing the stirring effect of a stirrer, by arranging not only a flow distribution pipe in close vicinity to a stirring apparatus but also a gas injection pipe in said distribution pipe or in close vicinity thereto. CONSTITUTION:A stirrer 2 is arranged in a reaction tank 1 and a flow distribution pipe 5 is arranged in the downstream side of the stirrer 2 so as to allow the axis thereof to almost coincide with the rotary shaft of the stirrer 2. Ring shaped gas injection pipes 4 having small holes 4a, 4b for injecting gas provided to the outer and inner peripheral wall sides thereof by drilling are arranged in a concentrically circular form in the flow distribution pipe 5. The width W of the flow distribution pipe 5 is pref. made as large as possible because the flow of a fluid by the stirrer 2 reaches a remote area. The gases injected from the gas injection pipes 4 in close vicinity to the stirrer 2 are effectively dispersed throughout the reaction tank 1 by the strong flow energy of the fluid by the stirrer 2 and the flow distributed effect by the flow distribution pipe 5 and good gas-liquid contact is performed.
