Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To form a toner image with high clearness by using a magnet which larger magnetic flux density than a magnet which conveys toner positioned at the downstream side of a developing magnet as a magnet which conveys toner positioned at the downstream side of the developing magnet. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical rotating sleeve 3 made of a nonmagnetic body which is moved in the opposite direction of a rotary drum 1 which has a photoconductive sensitive layer on the outer peripheral surface is provided opposite the outer peripheral surface of the drum 1 across a gap 2. A toner container 5 which supplies magnetic toner 4 is provided on the outer peripheral surface of the sleeve 3 except at the pat facing the gap 2. The sleeve 3 contains the developing magnet 6 opposite the gap 2, a toner carrying-in magnet 7 and a toner carrying-out magnet 8 at the upstream and down stream sides of the magnet 6, and toner conveying magnets 9-11 fixed differing in polarity alternately. Then, the magnet 7 has larger magnetic flux density than the magnet 8. Thus, an electrostatic latent image with high clearness is developed with the magnetic toner.
