VESSEL EQUIPPED WITH PROPELLER GUARD APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To prevent the clinging of nets and ropes in a fixed-shore-net water area by installing the propeller guard members outside a screw propeller and accommodating said members into the guard-member accommodating chambers and closing the opened ports of the accommodation chambers. CONSTITUTION:In case of ordinary navigation, divided guard members 4A and 4B are accommodated into guard-member accommodating chambers 6 and 6, and the opened ports 21 and 21 are closed by the shutter plates 26 and 26 of the shutter apparatuses 7 and 7. Therefore, the reduction of the navigation speed is not generated. In a fixed-shore-net arranging water area, the opened ports 21 and 21 of the guard-member accommodating chambers 6 and 7 are opened to lower the divided guard members 4A and 4B, and the outside of a screw propeller 3 is guarded. Therefore, even in case of the navigation with the use of the screw propeller 3, the clinging of nets and ropes onto the screw propeller can be prevented.
