SHAFT BRACKET

PURPOSE:To reduce the cavitation generated in a bracket part, wave making resistance, noise, etc. by constituting a shaft bracket axially supporting the propulsion shaft of a ship by the hull outer plates, from an arm part and a movable blade which freely turns, having said arm part as axis center, and allowing said movable bade to follow the streamline. CONSTITUTION:During the navigation of a ship, if the streamline direction in the vicinity of a shaft bracket 1 changes, the difference of fluid pressure is generated between the both blade surfaces of a movable blade 3. The movable blade turns according to the differential pressure until the wing chord 10 coincides with the streamline direction, having an arm part 2 as axis center, and then the standstill balanced state is generated. Since the movable blade 3 can always follow the change of the steamline of the shaft bracket part, the generated cavitation, wave making resistance, noise, etc. can be reduced. Therefore, the reduction of the propulsion faculty of a propeller can be prevented.
