WIRE ELECTRODE GUIDE DEVICE OF WIRE ELECTRIC DISCHARGE MACHINE

PURPOSE:To obtain a device having good controllability and a machining characteristic, by swivellably arranging a flat guide which retains a wire, protruded from an opening part, so as to be pressed into a V-groove for a V guide of the wire. CONSTITUTION:If a stepped pin 2 is pressed while feeding a wire 2 into a hole 4 in a guide holder 5, a flat guide 12, swivelling about the end of a pivot 7 serving as the center, protrudes the wire 2 from the end of a nozzle 24 through a route spread detaching from a V guide 8. And the wire 2, after it is drawn by a required length from the end of the nozzle 24, is held by releasing the stepped pin 21 and placing the flat guide 12 to approach the V guide 8. While the wire 2, drawn out from the nozzle 24, is inserted into an initial hole formed in a work 1 or directly toward the guide 8 and 2 from an opening part of the nozzle 24 below the work, here the pin 21 is pressed, and if the guide 12 is detached from the guide 8, a device, enabling the wire 2 to be easily inserted between the guide 8 and 12, can improve controllability and a machining characteristic.
