APPARATUS FOR PREPARING MASKING TAPE

PURPOSE:To shorten the required time in masking work using a masking tape, by making it possible to continuously and efficiently form the masking tapes each partially having a pressure-sensitive adhesive surface to front and back surfaces. CONSTITUTION:When pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes 7a, 7b are passed between press bonding rolls 11 while unwound from winding cores 13a, 13b in such a state that said cores 13a, 13b are supported by a feed-out shaft 10, both tapes 7a, 7b are unwound in such a state that pressure-sensitive adhesive surfaces thereof are opposed and the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape 7a is contacted with a lap roll 12 and pushed downwardly by said lap roll 12 of which the rotary axis is inclined with respective to a frame 9. Therefore, the pressure- sensitive adhesive surfaces of the tapes 7a, 7b are partially laminated between the press bonding rolls 11 to form a masking tape 8.
