SOUND VOLUME ADJUSTING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To prevent generation of click noise by allowing the transfer gain of a sound signal to be changed when an amplitude instantaneous value of the sound signal to be controlled is a low value within a prescribed range close to zero. CONSTITUTION:When a slider of a variable resistor VR of an operation section OP is adjusted for sound volume adjustment, a voltage in response to the adjusted position of the slider of the VR is outputted from the OP and given to an AD converter ADC. A digital signal outputted from the ADC is fed to a latch LC. When an output signal from a zero detecting section ZD of the signal is given, the LC receives the said digital signal and holds it. The output signal of the LC is given to a multiplication type DA converter MDA. The digital signal outputted from the LC and an analog signal fed to an input terminal 1 are multiplied at the MDA, and the sound signal in the analog signal form fed to the terminal 1 is outputted to an output terminal 2 as a signal whose sound volume is adjusted according to the operation mode of the OP.
