Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To suppress a surge at application of power supply by providing a TV signal clamp circuit and a circuit detecting the presence of a TV signal with a delay at a time of a surge time width or over generated to a TV camera at application of power supply to an output of the TV camera. CONSTITUTION:The output of the TV camera 1 is provided with the TV signal clamp circuit 3, the detection circuit 4 detecting the presence of the TV signal at the output of the circuit 3 for a surge time width generated to the TV camera at application of power supply and a limit level variable limiter circuit 5 outputting an output of the clamp circuit while giving limit thereto. When no TV signal is detected, the limit level of the limiter circuit 5 is brought into a value lower than a peak value of a normal video signal. When the TV signal is detected, the limit level is kept higher than the peak value of the normal video signal.
